About the Role
At Gurzu, Software Engineers build reliable, scalable, and maintainable products that help our clients launch and grow. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver features end to end. Your focus will be writing clean code, improving our systems, and contributing to decisions that shape how we build software.
You’ll spend most of your time writing Ruby on Rails with modern frontend tools, while also touching areas like CI, deployment, and API integrations as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Designing and building backend features with Ruby on Rails
- Writing tests and contributing to a strong engineering quality culture
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners to refine requirements and scope
- Reviewing code and giving constructive feedback to teammates
- Integrating external APIs and working with databases like PostgreSQL
- Supporting deployment and helping troubleshoot production issues when needed
- Contributing to internal engineering improvements and documentation
What You Bring
- Professional experience building web applications with Ruby on Rails
- Solid understanding of MVC, REST APIs, database design, and background jobs
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like RSpec or Minitest
- Working knowledge of Git and common development workflows
- Curiosity to learn, solve problems, and ship meaningful work
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Next, or Stimulus
- Exposure to DevOps practices like CI/CD, Docker, or cloud providers
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Experience working with product teams or multiple stakeholders
