About Job
A big part of this job is stepping into products that are already live. You'll dig into how people actually use them, find where they get stuck, and improve the experience step by step rather than throwing everything out and starting over. That takes sharp analytical skills as much as good visual taste.
You'll own design from discovery through to launch and beyond, working closely with clients, developers and QA. You'll also have a real say in how our design practice grows: how we collaborate, how we prioritize, and how we review each other's work.

What you'll do
Design
  • Own design projects end to end, from early exploration to launch and post-release iteration
  • Lead UX discovery sessions with clients and turn business goals into structured UX and UI systems
  • Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes, preferably in Figma
  • Use tools like Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Hotjar to find friction points in existing products, then redesign them based on what you learn
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems that translate cleanly into development
Collaboration
  • Work closely with developers to make sure designs are feasible and built accurately
  • Prepare clear, organized design handoffs and documentation
  • Run design QA reviews so the design intent holds through the development process and the final product matches business goals and user needs
  • Explain your design decisions clearly to clients and teammates, and feel comfortable leading client meetings
Leadership
  • Help define how design works at Gurzu, including our collaboration process and how we prioritize work
  • Lead design critiques and reviews with a focus on strategic outcomes

Experience and Skills
  • 3+ years of experience designing digital products, with a strong portfolio
  • Strong visual design judgement across layout, typography and hierarchy
  • Solid skills in interaction design, prototyping and information architecture, and the ability to explain abstract ideas clearly
  • Experience building and evolving design systems as a product and team grow
  • Familiarity with front-end development, or comfort building prototypes in code. You don't need to be an engineer, but understanding how code works helps you design more practical interfaces
  • Experience with accessibility and usability testing
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in your design process, and a good sense of where they help and where they don't (for example, in research synthesis, ideation, or prototyping)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working on travel, tourism, hospitality, or booking-related digital products is a plus, particularly with an understanding of travel user journeys, booking flows, and customer experience.

Note: If you don’t hear from us within 15 days, it may mean you have not been shortlisted this time. We genuinely appreciate your interest in Gurzu and encourage you to follow us for future openings that match your skills and experience.

Company Profile:Gurzu is a custom software company based in Lalitpur, with a presence in the US for client collaboration. For over 14 years, we've helped teams design, build, launch and maintain digital products, from early UX work through long-term support. Our services cover product design, web and mobile development, Ruby on Rails, QA automation, DevOps and cloud, and AI integration. We've shipped 200+ products across travel, fintech, IoT, health and SaaS, and we work in a few different ways depending on the client: fixed scope projects, team augmentation, rescue missions and ongoing maintenance. We care about product thinking and long-term quality, not just output, and we keep learning as a team across Rails, AI, security and delivery practices. For further inquiries: careers@gurzu.com
