Backend Developer (Shopify Focus)
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong experience in web application development and Shopify ecosystem expertise. The role involves building, maintaining, and optimizing backend systems, supporting Shopify-based solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performing applications.

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong experience in web application development and Shopify ecosystem expertise. The role involves building, maintaining, and optimizing backend systems, supporting Shopify-based solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performing applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems for web applications
- Build and integrate APIs (REST & GraphQL) for seamless data exchange
- Work on Shopify store development including theme customization and app integration
- Support development and maintenance of Shopify Plus stores
- Design and implement scalable architectures for high-traffic environments
- Collaborate with designers, frontend developers, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Use Git for version control and follow collaborative development practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems for performance and reliability
Required Qualifications & Experience - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in backend development for web applications
- Strong experience with version control tools such as Git
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL
- Experience working in team-based development environments
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in Shopify development (theme customization, Shopify APIs, app development)
- Experience with Shopify Plus development and maintenance
- Experience designing backend systems for high-traffic and scalable environments
- Familiarity with modern web architecture patterns
Additional Advantage
- Proficiency in Japanese language (spoken/written) will be an added advantage for communication in certain projects.
