Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mid-Level Python Developer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend services and web applications using Python. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable and robust solutions aligned with business goals. This role is ideal for developers with a strong foundation in Python and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain server-side logic and backend systems using Python and relevant frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define, design, and deliver new features and functionality.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to team standards and best practices.
  • Integrate third-party services and APIs, and build internal RESTful APIs for frontend and mobile use.
  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving internal development processes.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
  • Assist in database design and query optimization for performance and reliability.
  • Stay informed on new technologies and best practices within the Python ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–3 years of professional experience working with Python in a software development environment.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major Python web framework such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and basic ORM concepts.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
  • Proficient with Git and version control workflows.
  • Experience with unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Exposure to frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
